Memorial Biography

Dieudonne is survived by her three (3) brothers Liphaite Refuse, Antonio Refuse, and Quesner Refuse and a deceased brother L’Amerique Refuse. Her three Sister-in-law, Manite Bousiquot, Jacqueline Renaudin, and Marie Guerda Bien-aime. Her nieces and nephews, Michaelle Refuse Hilaire, Mariot Refuse, Jean Eddy Refuse, Jean Rony Refuse, Michel Refuse, Johanne Refuse Larrieux, Variola Refuse, Ricardo Refuse, Jeff Refuse, Myriam Refuse, Jude Refuse, Medgine Refuse, Fabiola R Edouard, Roseline Royal, Judith Royal. Her Cousin Carmelite F Lindor, Carole Innocent and many more cousins in Haiti. Aside from the children she doted on, she also leaves behind her four (4) stepchildren James Joseph, Christelle Joseph, Vanessa Joseph, Gaelle Joseph, and three (3) grandchildren, Kendrick Joseph, Adonis Jubitana, and Amelia Jubitana. And a host of friends and colleagues that she worked with for 36 years. In 1986 she travelled from Haiti to New York seeking better opportunity to help her family as well as her children. In 1989, She continue her mission by starting another choir in little Haiti at Notre Dame Catholic Church. She founded the choir with youth leaders and became the Choir Director for over 30 Years. She was also a member of a group called La Sainte Famille at the same Church. On November 15, 1995, Her Children’s came to live with her from Haiti and She raised her children with love and devotion in the state of Florida, USA. As a CNA, Dieudonne Joseph has devoted 36 years of service at Seaview Nursing and Rehab. She was known for her warmth and kindness towards her patients. Her hobbies included singing, reading, and watching her favorite show – the price is right, Jeopardy, Let’s make a deal, Wheel of fortune, and family feud. A woman so loving, caring, gentle, and sweet. She always gives with her whole heart. She’s the type of person that don’t hold grudges. So gentle, yet so strong; the fragrance of life itself. Her unconditional love made everyone who knew her happy, strong, and secure.
